Coorg or Kodagu(originally called Kodaimalenadu) means &#8216;dense forest on steep hill&#8217;. Dubbed as the Scotland of India.)<\/p>\n<p>I went to Coorg with my roommates (Pravin, Pavan, Mohan, Prinso &amp; myself) in Qualis. We started on 05-Oct-07(Friday) night at 11.00 PM from Bangalore. We reached <strong>Nagarahole National Park(Rajiv Gandhi National Park)<\/strong> at 4.00 AM itself. But this wiled life park visiting time only 6.00 AM to 6.00 PM. We are waited and entered in this park road. While traveling in this forest road we can see Dear, Mongoose, tiger, leopard, wild elephant, wild dog, and more. We started the safari(1.30 Hrs) at 8.00 AM in the forest. We seen elephant, dear, monkey, mongoose, . its one of the biggest forest in Karnataka and extended upto ynadu, Karala. After completion of the sfari we started travel towards Irupu Falls. It\u2019s 40 km from this national park. You can see exciting greenish place in this travel.<br \/>\n<a title=\"dsc02134.JPG\" href=\"http:\/\/haiudhaya.wordpress.com\/2007\/10\/10\/coorg-hill-station-karnataka-tour\/485\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-485\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/haiudhaya.files.wordpress.com\/2007\/10\/dsc02134.JPG\" alt=\"dsc02134.JPG\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>Nagarahole National Park(Rajiv Gandhi National Park)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>Irupu falls:<\/strong> We reached <strong>Irupu Falls<\/strong> at 9.30 AM and took break(fresh) fast. This is very small beautiful waterfall. We took bath in this fall its exciting. Risky thing is it contains leech also. At 11.20 we started from Irupu falls and traveled towards Coorg. Its 150 km from Irupu falls. You can <a href=\"https:\/\/helicopter-tours-maui.business.site\/\">see this here<\/a> to get the right kind of guides to get touring around the place.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a title=\"dsc02173.JPG\" href=\"http:\/\/haiudhaya.wordpress.com\/2007\/10\/10\/coorg-hill-station-karnataka-tour\/493\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-493\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/haiudhaya.files.wordpress.com\/2007\/10\/dsc02173.JPG\" alt=\"dsc02173.JPG\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>Irupu Falls<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>Raja Seat: <\/strong>We reached Madikeri, the district headquarters of Coorg. We reached <strong>Raja Seat<\/strong> at 1.45 PM., We can see very beautiful view from this point. Its shows one of the madikery mountains view. We spend some time and started to Abbey Falls.<a title=\"dsc02180.JPG\" href=\"http:\/\/haiudhaya.wordpress.com\/2007\/10\/10\/coorg-hill-station-karnataka-tour\/488\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-488\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/haiudhaya.files.wordpress.com\/2007\/10\/dsc02180.JPG\" alt=\"dsc02180.JPG\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>Raja Seat<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>Abbey falls<\/strong> is 9km from this place. We reached abbey falls at 2.30 PM, its one more small falls and it contains more dust water only. We can\u2019t enter in the falls. We can see the fall from the bridge.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a title=\"dsc02195.JPG\" href=\"http:\/\/haiudhaya.wordpress.com\/2007\/10\/10\/coorg-hill-station-karnataka-tour\/489\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-489\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/haiudhaya.files.wordpress.com\/2007\/10\/dsc02195.JPG\" alt=\"dsc02195.JPG\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>Abbey falls<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>Cauvery Nisargadhama:<\/strong> We came back from this falls and took lunch at Madikery town. After lunch we started the travel towards <strong>Cauvery Nisargadhama<\/strong>, Kushal Nagar and reached at 5.30 PM.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Its\u2019s one more place of cauvery. We can see the park(Deer Park, Rabit) and its contain Elephant Safari\u00a0 also. Some of the months we can see the boating in this river. Currently boating activity &amp; Elephant safari was closed. Nothing great in this place. So we started to Budha temple.<br \/>\n<a title=\"dsc02217.JPG\" href=\"http:\/\/haiudhaya.wordpress.com\/2007\/10\/10\/coorg-hill-station-karnataka-tour\/490\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-490\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/haiudhaya.files.wordpress.com\/2007\/10\/dsc02217.JPG\" alt=\"dsc02217.JPG\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>CAUVERY NISARGADHAMA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>Budha Golden Temple: <\/strong>We reached <strong>Budha Golden Temple<\/strong> at 6.30 PM. Its really beautiful temple. We seen lot of monks in this temple and nearby. Tibetan monks having houses to stay within the temple campus itself. Buddher never talk or think about god. Really we visited more places compare with planed. Totally we traveled 850km in this round trip.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><strong>Some Suggestion:<\/strong> If you want spend more time, The pleas don\u2019t go to Nagarahole National Park and Irupu Falls. So that directly you can go to Coorg and spend more time in every places including Thalai Kavery. Other then this even you can plan it for 2 days trip.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Fort \u2013 (We are NOT Went) The fort now contains a small museum having some historical paintings,arms,armours and possessions of the past rulers, the prison.The fort also contains a small palace.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Talakaveri &#8211; (We are NOT Went) River Kaveri which is one of the 7 sacred rivers of Sapta Sindhus of the Hindu scriptures, originated at a place is called Talakaveri in the Brahmagiri hills, at about 4,500 ft above sea level.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';\">Udhaya Kumar,V , <a href=\"mailto:udhaya@udhaya.com\">udhaya@udhaya.com<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>06-Oct-2007, Karnataka, India.
